Ana Carolina Martínez

Occupational Therapist

History

I arrived at the CME challenged by the results I saw in a patient, something unusual that I have not seen in other therapies and with surprising results. Instigated by the challenge of getting to know the CME, which was something that challenged my understanding, I sought my training in 2015, which changed my professional life and also my way of looking at child rehabilitation.

From the first contact with Ramon, I could understand that he was a person who created something absolutely innovative in rehabilitation. Ramon has a unique look and thought, which I dare say is a genius that surprises and delights, but which still made him think of a way to teach and share his knowledge with everyone without distinction, because he knows that the CME is for something very greater, the benefit of patients.

I was just a stranger and yet everyone at CME Chile welcomed me and extended their hands because there is a place of exchange. Ramon and Alexis showed me that they trust the teachings and that we therapists have the possibility of transforming stories in our hands. My experiences are always marked by the perception that the patient offers his best and it is up to the therapist to understand the best way to provoke his motor responses, just as the patient brings with him a family that fights together in the whole process, being our partners. Understanding all this requires dedication and a lot of love for what CME teaches.

I had the opportunity to be at CME Chile many times and no time is like another, which proves to me that the essence of CME to exist is to always have new possibilities, that we live an eternal learning and serve a greater purpose, which I define how to be an instrument of transformation.
What enchants me with each new experience with Ramon is being with so many other professionals, from completely different degrees, nationalities and lives, but who put aside everything they are and simply start looking in the same direction, in a magical union in favor of of this greater good, which is to follow Ramon’s teachings and offer many new possibilities to those who really matter, which is the patient.
